Woman Applies for Job, Then Steals Money

In Delaware, a woman walked into a Five Guys restaurant, applied for a job, then stole $15 from two tip jars!  Surveillance video and her application resulted in her arrest.

Wow.

What is going on in her head?!  "I'm going to apply for a job here and oh look at that money just sitting out in the open.  They won't notice if I take some of it.  I need money to get home anyway." There goes her chances to get a job there or anywhere really.  There has to be a name for this special group of people of this intelligence (or lack thereof).

She ended up pleading guilty to theft and got one-year probation and has to pay a $500 fine and court costs.

And for what?  $15.  Fifteen bucks and no job.

Man Steals Truck To Make It To His Court Hearing....For Stealing a Car

21-year-old Michael Heller, from Redding, needed a ride to his court hearing for stealing a car.  Apparently, instead of finding a ride or using public transportation, he decided to steal a truck in order to get there.  The owner of the truck had been working on it when Heller just got in and drove away.

So....

Let me get this straight....

You get arrested and charged for stealing a car.  Your court date has arrived.  You have no ride there and, for the sake of argument, let's say you have no money to take the bus.  So the only logical thing you can think of is to just steal another car so you can make it to court.

Right.  Because that's what any normal person would do.

I just have to ask....how are you going to steal a car to go to court for stealing another car!?  No lessoned learned there!  Did he really think they wouldn't charge him again?  "I'm already being charged for stealing a car, they can't charge me again."  Seriously?

I understand being desperate and you feel stuck because you have absolutely no way of getting where you need to be but there is always a way.  A LEGAL way.  I'm sure he could of scrounged up a dollar or so needed for the bus.  Or even call his public defender to say he has no way of getting there and what should he do.  There's always a way to work things out.

The smart thing to do would have been to plan ahead.  It really amazes me how dumb people are.  Then again, if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have this blog.

British Girls Dress Up As BURNING Twin Towers

On Halloween, two British students, Amber Langford and Annie Collinge, dressed up as the 9/11 Twin Towers.  And to make matters worse, they dressed up as the burning Twin Towers.  If that isn't bad enough, they entered a costume contest....and won.

How. Absolutely. Disrespectful.

Now, I'm all about freedom of expression (granted these girls aren't from the US) and I think too many people get offended over very minor things, BUT there are lines that should never be crossed.  Dressing up as an icon from a horrific event where thousands of people lost their lives and forever changed the United States is definitely one of those lines.  Especially on a holiday known for skimpy, gory, bloody, and humorous costumes.

What was going through these girls' heads is beyond me.  They released a statement apologizing after all the backlash stating their intent was to "depict a modern day horror that happened in our lifetime and not intended as a joke" but in my opinion, they went too far.  Why would you want to depict a modern day horror anyway?  Why couldn't they just dress up in normal costumes like everyone else?  A serial killer, a zombie, sailor, movie character, etc.  I mean I understand wanting to stand out and win but there are better, more tasteful ways to do that.

THOUSANDS of peoples' lives were forever changed inside those towers and to dress up and mock the towers is mocking those people as well.  Almost like adding salt to a wound that's been slowly healing but now ripped back open.

The nightclub, Rosie's, not only let the girls in like that, but also awarded them the first place prize, also got a lot of backlash from this. The company that runs the nightclub had to issue an apology and launch an investigation.  From reading some angry people's tweets, it seems the bouncers had denied people entry for a lot less but had no problem allowing the girls to enter dressed in that manner.

I get it.  It wasn't their country attacked and their civilians killed, but it was still a major historic event that should be respected.  You don't see Americans dressing up as Jews in concentration camps, Mexican drug cartels, or Lord's Resistance Army members from Africa.  So why would it be okay to dress up as buildings that were attacked by terrorists, collapsed, and killed so many people? And who was the Einstein that allowed them to WIN a costume contest dressed like that?!

The girls aren't the only "bad guys" here.  Everyone involved with the contest is at fault too, just in a different way.  I hope these girls realize the extent of their disrespect.

In reality, they viewed this as something innocent until people got angry at them.  It was only then that they were sorry.  I'm sure they weren't that sorry after winning money.

Let this be a lesson learned ladies.

Mother of the Year Goes To......

Brittany Harris!

A woman in Florida was arrested after leaving her 5-year-old and 3-year-old children in the car for a few hours.  What was her reason you ask?  To run into a store "real quick?" No.  To go into a bar?  Nope.  To get her hair or nails done?  Negative.  She left her children in the car so she could go to a Lil Wayne concert!  An employee found the children in the parking lot of the amphitheater and called police.  The woman initially tried to say her cousin brought the children and was the one who left them in the car but she eventually confessed and was arrested on child neglect charges.

Wow lady really?  Concerts attract thousands of people and a Lil Wayne concert is not going to attract the most outstanding citizens.  Leaving a 3-year-old and a 5-year-old for hours on end in the parking lot of a concert venue is just asking for something to happen to them.  What did she think they were going to do?  Sleep the whole time? Geez.  She's lucky an employee found them and not some criminal.

Then she tries to pin the whole thing on her cousin!  I would not want to associate with her if I was her cousin after that.   I wonder if her cousin even knew she did this.  I'm assuming she was with her cousin at the concert because how else would she be able to blame it on them.  But if they did know the kids were in the car, they are just as guilty as her.  Guilty by association.

She probably couldn't find a babysitter and thought leaving them in a locked car for a few hours would be okay because it's a logical thought, right? ((cue sarcasm)) I'm sorry but you chose to be a parent and with that comes sacrifices.  You want to go to a concert but can't find someone to watch your children then looks like you can't go to the concert!  Should have thought about that before getting knocked up...twice.

Some people really shouldn't reproduce.

Woman Tattoos Boyfriend's Name on Her Face After One Date

A Russian woman let her new boyfriend tattoo his name on her face after only one date.  The tattoo isn't small either.  The letters are 5 inches tall and take up both her cheeks.  She said, "It's a symbol of our eternal devotion.  I'd like him to tattoo every inch of my body."

Oh hunny.....Didn't she ever learn the rule to never tattoo a guy's name on your body? And why did it have to take up so much space?  I have no objections to tattoos but this is a little much.  And why her face?  Of all the places on her body she couldn't choose her back, arm, or ankle like a normal crazy girl?!  No, she took it a step further and chose her face!

Watch, they'll be broken up by the end of the year and she'll be stuck with that forever.  Oh young love.

I guess some people really would do anything for love.  ::cue meatloaf::

Teen Jailed After Disrespecting Judge

In Miami, 18-year-old Penelope Soto, who had been arrested on a possession of narcotics charge, was attending a bail hearing.  During the hearing, she was smiling, laughing, playing with her hair and just acting like the whole thing was a joke, which of course angered the judge.  First the judge set her bail at $5,000, that she laughed at, so he called her back and upped it to $10,000.  That got her attention but instead of just accepting it and walking away, she says "F*** you" and flips off the judge.  Well, the judge then declares her in contempt of court and sentences her to 30 days in jail.  She finally just agrees and walks away.  The best part is that after she serves her 30 days, she still has to pay the $10,000 to get out!

What is with the youth these days?  I mean really.  You've been arrested, you're in jail, you're going to your BAIL hearing (you know the hearing that determines how much you need to pay to get out of jail) and you're going to act disrespectful to the guy that determines the amount.  Yeah, that's smart.

Not only would she probably not had any jail time had she kept her mouth and smile shut, someone would have probably paid the $5,000 to get her out.  Now, she has to spend 30 days in the slammer along with paying $10,000 for her freedom.  She'll probably even be given more jail time too.

She's one of those kids that needs to be on Beyond Scared Straight because she already acts like some of the kids on that show.  30 days in jail will probably be somewhat of a reality check for her though.  She's 18, a legal adult, she's not going to juvenile hall...she's going to be with the murderers, prostitutes, and drug dealers.  Good luck with that hunny.  Next time, shut your mouth.

Teen Posts on Facebook About His Hit-and-Run

An 18-year-old in Oregon was arrested after he posted on Facebook about driving drunk and a hit-and-run he just committed.  His post went as follows: "Drivin drunk...classic ;) but to whoever's vehicle I hit I am sorry :P"  Two of his Facebook friends reported it to police who then, in turn, matched it to a hit-and-run report that had been filed.  They then matched the damage to the car to his car and he was arrested.

Wow.  Just wow.

Driving drunk in itself is a stupid move.  People die daily from someone's decision to drive under the influence.  Posting about it on Facebook isn't too bright either.  But actually hitting a car and posting about it?  Now THAT'S dumb.

We already know that alcohol impairs your judgement which is why you shouldn't drive but apparently you shouldn't get on Facebook either.  His judgement had to be impaired for him to almost brag about hitting a car.  And he apologized!  Like the person he hit is his friend on Facebook and would see his apology and be like, "Oh it's all good man, I saw your apology on Facebook.  No big deal."  Yea...right.

This kid just deserved to be arrested.  Maybe jail will teach him to think twice about what he posts on Facebook.

Drunk driving....drunk texting...drunk facebooking...All BAD IDEAS.  If you think about doing any of these, just don't.  Save yourself (and others) from injury and/or embarrassment.
