Man Arrested for DUI, His Shirt Says It All

In Long Island, a 22-year-old man was allegedly intoxicated and hit a police car while attempting to turn, which ultimately resulted in his arrest for a DUI.  But the man's shirt of choice that night is what makes this funny.  In his mugshot, you can clearly see that his shirt reads, "I'm not an alcoholic.  I'm a drunk.  Alcoholic's go to meetings."

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Way to give yourself away dude!  If that isn't ironic, then I don't know what is.

That cop probably walked up to the car, saw the shirt, and laughed thinking, "Well, that explains it.  Thanks for making this easy."

It's going to be really hard for that guy to fight the DUI.

Oh! And it would be even more funny if the judge orders him to go to meetings or those classes! Then it'd be like, "Well I guess that makes you an alcoholic.  You're shirt is WRONG!  Time to throw it away!" LOL!!

That guy will probably rethink his wardrobe the next time he plans on drinking and driving, because lets face it, it won't be the last time.  Haha!

Man Calls 911 Because of Broken iPhone

An Illinois man called 911 not once, not twice...but FIVE times to complain about his broken iPhone.  Police traced the call back to the man's house and arrested him after he refused to comply with officers' orders.  The man, who was drunk when officers arrived, was charged with obstruction or resisting a peace officer.

Haha what on earth did he think 911 was going to be able to do about his phone?  Arrest Apple? Riiiiight.  He didn't say what he thought they could do either.  Amazing what alcohol does to people.  I know it makes people do dumb things but that was just moronic.  I would love to hear the recording too.  Poor dispatcher.  They probably were speechless from this act of stupidity.

His punishment should be to have his phone privileges taken.  He is not allowed to have an iPhone anymore.  Lol! Childish but if he is going to act like a child then he will be treated like one.

Guy Gets Stuck in Child Swing

In Vallejo, Ca, a 21-year old man got stuck in a kid's swing because he bet his friends he could use liquid detergent to make his legs slick enough to get into the swing.  Getting into the swing wasn't the problem; getting out was.  The man inevitably got stuck. So instead of calling for help for their indisposed friend, the man's so-called "friends" bailed, leaving him in the swing for NINE hours.  Eventually, the fire department showed up and had to cut the man out.  The amount of the bet: $100.

Ok, I know some of us wonder if we could still fit in those swings, but if you have to make your legs slick enough to get in one, then it's probably not the brightest idea.  Now he has to deal with the public embarrassment because chances are, word will get around who it was.  If his friends were "nice" enough to leave him in the swing without getting help, they will have no problem telling everyone they know he was the one who got stuck.

Some friends he's got.  I think it's time to reevaluate who he calls "friends."

Those jerks better pay up.

Man Tells Officers He Stole Car

In Los Angeles, a man pulled up next to a police car at a red light and said to the officers, "I just stole this car." The officers, intrigued, decided to pursue the matter.  The man proceeded to tell them he had stolen it from an apartment complex in San Diego and that he used a screwdriver to bypass the ignition.  He continued by saying that the reason he's telling them is because he's almost out of gas.  When the police let the owner of the vehicle know about her car, she hadn't even realized it was stolen yet.

Hahaha!  The guy could have just gone to a gas station, filled up, and driven away without suspicion.  Then again, he probably didn't have money to do that anyway.  He even could have abandoned the car somewhere.  But nooo.  I guess he figured his joy ride was over so he decided to just make the police department's job easier.  He didn't even feel guilty about it!  Turns out he has a history of stealing cars.  You would have thought this would have been his first if he's giving himself up that easily.

The LAPD Lieutenant, Paul Vernon, said it best...
"If crooks really thought their crimes through, they wouldn't do them in the first place."

I guess he'll check the gas gauge before he steals another car.

Only Ignorant Morons Will Boycott Dancing With The Stars

This is something that really irks me.  Why can't people grow up and realize we are in 2011 and things change?  Why are some people so ignorant and think other people's lives have some sort of an effect on their own life?

Personally, I'm a fan of Dancing With The Stars.  I love watching it.  I enjoy seeing how good and bad celebrities are at ballroom dancing and I enjoy the routines and costumes.  It's fun.

What's not fun is people in our country saying they will boycott watching the show because Chaz Bono is a contestant.  They're only reason is that it's because he used to be a girl; he's transgendered.  People are claiming that Chaz being on the show is taking away ABC's "family element" of the network and that they watch the show with their kids so how are they going to explain this to them.

Explain what?  He looks like a guy, sounds like a guy, is legally a guy, and is paired up with a female dancer.  You're kids, let alone you, won't know the difference.  You wouldn't know he was born a girl if you walked past him on the street!  The only reason you know anyway is because he has famous parents.

And to act like it is so wrong for him to be on the show, that it's confusing, and that it's "inappropriate" for kids just shows how ignorant you are.  Your kids won't be confused.  You will be the one confusing them.  All they are going to see is a guy dancing with a girl.  But you, apparently, will feel compelled to have to have to explain that he was born a girl but wanted to be a boy, when that conversation won't even be necessary.  All you will be doing is teaching your kids that you should not like people who aren't like you.  Spreading hate is EXACTLY what you will be doing.

The ignorance of our country angers me.  How does Chaz Bono's life, how he feels, and what he did to his body have ANY effect on your life?  It doesn't but you want to act like it does.  He's a guy, bottom line.  But because you know he had a sex change, all of a sudden it's wrong.  So you think for him to dance on the show, ABC isn't family oriented anymore.  How?  Tell me how having him on the show doesn't make it okay for kids to watch anymore.  He's just another person.  No different from previous contestants.  So his past is different, big deal.  It's in his past.  Everyone has a past.  Kristie Alley (no disrespect, I was rooting for her from day 1) used to do drugs in her early acting days but there weren't any objections to her being on the show.  And Kim Kardashian has a sex tape that people can buy, but no one said anything about her participation.  It just goes to show how so many people are hypocrites.

It's 2011.  Times change.  People are people and should be treated like equals.  They are no different from you.  Actually they are.  They are more accepting than many of you will ever be.  I mean Chaz isn't even paying attention to what people are saying about him.  He's just excited to be a part of the show and excited about losing some weight already from dancing.  He knows who he is and what kind of person he is.  And his mother - you may have heard of her, CHER - completely supports her son and will defend him 100%.

I fully intend on watching the entire season and I hope he makes it far.  If he gets eliminated, it better be because he can't dance and not because a bunch of ignorant morons think he's tainted the network.

Like I said, he's a person just like you.  You hate him because you think he's different.  But he's not.

GO CHAZ!

Shoplifter Leaves Her Information With The Store

A woman in Penn Valley, CA went into a garden supply store and browsed around for about a half hour.  She was seen on surveillance video occasionally ducking between shelves and stuffing items into her bag.  She even left the store to empty her bag into her car and then come BACK IN to steal more stuff.  She ended up stealing about $300 worth of merchandise.  The store owners had no idea she had stolen anything until they noticed some expensive things missing.  They reviewed the tape and watched the woman in action.  The woman probably would have gotten away with it....had she not filled out her information on a raffle card for a giveaway at the store.

HAHAHA!

This woman left her real name, phone number, AND her address on this card!  I'm sorry, but you don't go into a store, steal a bunch of stuff, and then try to enter a drawing where you put your real information down!  I just find this hilarious.  That's pretty dumb.

At least it made the cops job easy.  They took the card and went right to her house where they arrested the 20-year-old woman for misdemeanor shoplifting and felony possession of stolen property.

This should probably make the list of World's Dumbest Criminals.  I don't even have much to say except for how dumb this girl is!  She just couldn't resist huh?  Just HAD to sign up for that raffle.  She just gave herself the five finger discount, wasn't that enough?  Wanted to try to win some stuff rather than just steal it, I guess.

And I would just love to know what her parents' reactions were when they heard this! Her friends too!  That's one of those things where it doesn't matter how long you've been friends, you can't help but tell them, "Wow.  You're an idiot."

Too funny.

Hit-and-Run in Broad Daylight, On Camera

Something I will never understand is hit-and-run drivers.

In Los Angeles on Sunday, a 45-year-old woman and her 17-year-old son were crossing the street, in a crosswalk mind you, and hit by a car.  The driver took off without helping or calling authorities.  The two victims are listed in critical condition and the whole thing was caught on surveillance video.  The driver is a woman and her car may have right front end damage as well as possibly missing the right mirror.    This all happened in broad daylight, around 11:30am.

I really just don't understand how you can hit someone with your car and just take off.  Especially in the middle of the day.  I mean, you have to know you hit a person.  And to hit someone with enough force to cause damage to the front of your car, lose your mirror, and then to just leave them there; that's disgraceful.

How much you want to bet that the driver was texting?  She wasn't paying attention, that's for sure.  And the most common reasons drivers are distracted these days are because they're texting and driving.  The stoplight was red for her and there were people in the crosswalk, how do you miss that?  Because you're not looking.  If she even realized it, she probably panicked because she was doing something she wasn't supposed to and assumed she would get in even more trouble, which isn't always the case.

(*On a side note, I didn't suggest she may have been drinking because it was 11:30 in the morning, but then again you never know.  It is another reason most people take off when they hit someone.)

If you stop and help, it shows that you really didn't mean to hit them, that you made a mistake, and that you're sorry.  It shows the kind of person you are when you take responsibility for your actions and stop and help, as you should.  But if you take off, it shows that you either did it on purpose or you have no compassion for your fellow man or human life.  You don't take responsibility for your actions nor do you care about what you did.

I understand people get scared because that is a scary situation to put yourself in.  You don't know what the law will do to you or the family of the person/people you hit.  Your whole life can change in just one moment.  But that doesn't mean for the worse.  Yes, you or your insurance would have to pay for the hospital bills and whatnot, but chances are people will be more lenient on you if you own up to what you did and truly show how guilty you feel.  Don't expect any sympathy when you hit someone and take off, because when they catch you, and they will, you just upgraded your situation from a non criminal accident to a felony.  Now, you really changed your life.

Sometimes, we can control the outcome of our actions by how we react to the situation.  In this situation, if you stop, you won't go to jail; if you don't stop, you will.

Kids Sold to Fund Parent's Gaming Addiction

A young couple in China sold all THREE of their children for money to help them fund their internet gaming addiction.  The couple met in an internet cafe and had three kids before they are even 21.  When they needed more money so they could play games in an internet cafe, they sold their daughter, the second-born, for less than $500.  Then they sold their first born, a son, for nearly $4,600 and finally their last child, also a boy, for $4,600 as well.  The guy's mom turned them in when she found out what they did and their response was that they didn't know they were breaking the law.

   Wow.

I understand that they are young and dumb, because they did have three kids before even turning 21.  But this goes beyond stupidity.  They clearly have internet gaming addictions.  They sold their kids for money to play video games!  That IS an addiction.  Then they even said that they didn't want to raise the kids anyway and just wanted money!  Wow.  There is something called adoption.  There are so many good yet unfortunate people out there adopting kids or willing to adopt kids from China.  I mean for all they know these children went to bad people.  If someone is willing to BUY a child, chances are they aren't good people.
I hope they lock them up for a long time.  And lock up the people who bought them as well.  I mean how do you not think you are breaking the law!?  You SOLD YOUR KIDS!!  You really thought that was ok?  How stupid are you really?  It is one thing having an addiction but selling your kids to fund your addiction is really low.  That's like lowest of the low.  If that isn't rock bottom then I don't know what is.
Who does that?  Honestly.  Some people shouldn't procreate.  Ever.

Kids Fined $500 for Raising Money for Charity

In Maryland, a group of kids and their parents were fined $500 because they were operating a lemonade stand near the US Open.  It wasn't because they were near the US Open that they were fined.  No, it was because they didn't have a permit...

ARE YOU SERIOUS!

And to add insult to injury, the kids weren't even going to keep the money...Everything they made was going to Pediatric Cancer Research!! They were just trying to raise money for cancer!

What happened to the days that kids had lemonade stands and people thought it was adorable and paid the 25 cents to $2 for it just to support them?  And are they really that much of a threat to the city for making some money for charity?  The cop/inspector that fined them was quoted as saying "...there's a difference from making $5 to $10 compared to hundreds."  Ha.  But it was being raised for charity! CHARITY! They aren't stealing people's money, they aren't scamming them, and they aren't going to spend it on useless toys that they would get tired of after a day.  They were giving the proceeds to a charity for Pediatric CANCER.  You know, that disease that kills thousands to millions of people in all its different forms.

These kids were smart in wanting to have the stand near the US Open because of the huge amounts of people who would walk by.  Definitely a good way to raise money for something.  But obviously the cop, who is probably miserable in their own life, has nothing better to do than ruin the dreams of some kids trying to help other kids.  He/she probably doesn't even feel bad!

What sucks for that cop is that they will forever have this reputation now.  But hey they deserve it!  They will always be known as the cop who ticketed a lemonade stand raising money for charity.  And guaranteed the incident freaked out the department when it got all the media coverage.  Public and Media Relations had to jump in and try to recover.  Haha!  Luckily, they realized the smart move would be to waive the fine, which they did, and told the families the kids can have their stand, as long as they moved it over 100 feet.  Like that makes a difference.

Haha Maryland's Finest at its finest...

Babies Deserve to Live, Not Die in Trashcans

This is sad.

In Queens, a 23-year-old woman gave birth to a baby in a hospital bathroom.  She then proceeded to PUT THE BABY IN THE TRASHCAN and then leave the hospital!!  Luckily, someone found the baby soon enough and she's recovering.  They identified the woman from security cameras and arrested her when she CAME BACK to the hospital get treatment.

Thank God this baby is still alive!  Why are people so stupid!?  There are Safe Haven laws for situations like this.  If you don't want your child or feel you can't care for the child, you can drop the baby off at any hospital, police station, or fire station, no questions asked.  The worst part is she was AT A HOSPITAL!  Honey, just have the child and tell them you don't want her.  It's sad but you won't get in trouble for it.  Now you face jail time.

I hate hearing stories like this.  For one, there are so many women out there who can't have children and would do anything to be able to.  Then you have people like this who take advantage of their fertility and dump their newborns in trashcans because they don't want them, and most of the time, the newborns don't live.  For two, there's the Safe Haven laws.  It baffles me how women don't realize this.  Yes, I understand they are probably panicking when they give birth but to just kill the child rather than give it a chance is outrageous!  There are so many couples and families out there that would take in a newborn in a heartbeat!  So many women who would cherish the opportunity to be pregnant.  It hurts them to see other women be so heartless towards newborns.

This woman was AT A HOSPITAL!! I just don't understand why she went about it this way.  The hospital would have taken care of the little girl.  She didn't have to do this.  They made the Safe Haven law for a reason; so this wouldn't happen.

I just wish women would stop freaking out and killing babies and realize there's other alternatives.  Having a baby changes your life.  But in cases like this, the women end up in prison.  Not the way lives usually change when a baby is born.  Instead of diapers, baby talk, and cute clothes, those women are living in 8' by 9' cells, eating bad food, and picking out their new girlfriends.  Definitely not a pleasant lifestyle.

Idiot of the Month: Fake 911 Call to Get Out of a Ticket

In Florida, a man was pulled over for speeding.  While the officer ran his information, the guy called 9-1-1 to report a shooting nearby to get out of the ticket because he was driving on a suspended license.  The officer let the guy go so the officer could go to the scene.  Once he found out there was no shooting he decided to call the phone number that reported the shooting.  He got the speeder's voicemail and eventually arrested him for making a fake 911 call.

Let's see...speeding ticket would have been $200-$300 and then driving on a suspended license would have been another fine and possibly a towed car but now he has an even bigger fine, had to go to jail, and now has to go to court.  Was it really worth it?  A few hundred bucks or jail time?  C'mon man!  Suck it up and take the ticket like the rest of us.

It amazes me to hear what people do to get out of tickets.  It's always nice when you do get out of it but when you don't, oh well.  And calling 911?  Do people not realize the phone number you are calling from shows up for the dispatcher?  He definitely didn't think that one through.  Haha.

Gotta love idiots, they give us a good laugh.

Lowlife Thugs Aren't Fans

Just because you wear the gear, it doesn't make you a fan...The way you act makes you either a fan or a lowlife.

In case you haven't heard, on opening day in LA for the Dodgers, two thugs decided it would be cool to beat down a Giants fan after the game.  This poor guy, Brian Stow, was minding his own business walking to his car.  They hit him from behind, knocking him to the ground which made him hit his head and knocking him unconscious.  They continued to hit and kick him while he was unconscious until one of the thugs baby mamas pulled up in the getaway car, which had a kid in it as well, and they took off.  The Giants fan is now in a medically induced coma because he has severe brain swelling.  He suffered a skull fracture and bruising to his frontal lobe.  Doctors had to cut off part of his skull to help with the pressure.  He also may suffer brain damage and may never be the same person again.

The reward being offered for information leading to the arrests of these lowlife thugs has skyrocketed to $150,000 because of all the support coming in from Los Angeles and San Francisco.  If you witnessed it or know who these wannabe gangsters are, please call the LAPD.

As a Dodger fan, I'm personally disgusted.  It makes me ashamed to be a Dodger fan.  These losers ^ are NOT true Dodger fans.  True Dodger fans have sportsmanship and have fun at games without being threatening or violent.  Even when drunk, true fans don't make others uncomfortable or make the environment unsafe to be in.  I've been to games at Dodger Stadium and even as a Dodger fan I don't feel safe.  There are people constantly harassing, heckling, shouting profanities, and throwing food at others.  Not to mention the fighting in the stands as well.  Dodger fans fight with each other!  I went to a Giants v. Dodgers game in LA with my boyfriend, who is a Giants fan, and I told him that I didn't want him to wear any of his Giants stuff.  I was concerned for his safety because I know how these thugs act towards the opposing team's fans, especially Giants fans.  I've seen guys even go after women.  I haven't seen any guys trying to fight a woman yet but I have witnessed female fans of other teams have stuff thrown at them THE WHOLE GAME along with the harassing and name calling.  It's just not fun anymore.  I liked going to games but I would rather pay attention to the game than listen to people being degraded just because of who they are rooting for.

Baseball is supposed to be America's past time and a family event.  I feel bad for the people who bring their kids because they subject them to all the cursing and inappropriate behavior.  When I have kids I want to be able to bring my kids to sporting events, including baseball games.  But unless fans start cleaning up their act, it will only get worse.

I do like that LA is taking the initiative to prevent this unspeakable act from happening again and I do like all the policies they plan to instill.  My favorite is that season ticket holders will lose their seats/tickets if they cause trouble because why should they deserve to continue going to games if they are going to take away the sportsmanship of the game?  Like I said, people who act that way are NOT Dodger fans.  They aren't fans of any team that they pretend to root for.  This doesn't just happen in Los Angeles; it can and does happen in other cities.  Unfortunately, no matter how much security and police they have out in full force, there will be some idiot who will slip through the cracks.  Hopefully, they won't do as much damage as these thugs above.

Anyone can buy clothes, hats, and other gear of a team and wear it.  Anyone can say they are a fan and anyone can root for a team.  But unless you act like a fan should act, you are nothing but a thug in gang clothing.  CLEAN UP YOUR ACT PEOPLE!!  Lets bring the fun back to a day at the ballpark.

Justin Bieber's HAIR Goes on Tour...WTF?!

What is our world coming to?

Justin Bieber recently got his locks chopped off.  And his hair was put into a display box and AUCTIONED off!  It even sold for more than $40,000!  Luckily the money went to charity but that's besides the point.  Now, his box 'o hair is guarded by not one, but TWO bodyguards AND it's going on tour.  Fans can even take pictures with it as long as they pony up some dough for the Japan Relief Effort.  And believe it or not, there was a line at its most recent stop in Miami.

WHAT?!?!

I'm sorry this is just absolutely pathetic.  I don't even know where to start.  How about the fact that someone shelled out over $40,000 for his hair that they don't even get to have, at least not yet.  There is one outrageously spoiled little girl who begged her stuck up millionaire parents to bid at the auction just so she could have this guy's HAIR...his HAIR! It's not like you're even getting to meet the kid!  Instead of bidding on something as stupid as this overrated celebrity's hair in order for your money to go to some good, maybe you should actually do good with your money without getting something in return.  Just a thought.  There are many hungry kids out there.

Moving on.  You know it's sad when this homeless hair has to be guarded by two dudes.  And it's even worse when it's making "special appearances" around the country.  My god people IT'S HAIR!!!!!  Here let me cut some of mine off and stick it in a box, I'm sure it'll look exactly the same!  Girls...taking a picture with a box of hair is NOT impressive...and the fact you are standing in line for hours is dumb.  Do you really have nothing better to do?  This is absolutely ridiculous.  If you are one of these girls, or guys, you're stupid.  Bottom line.

Our country is in debt and people are wasting their money on a kid's hair.  I'm sure if we sell the kid to a few different people we would have our debt cleared right up!

I can't wait until this kid's reign of fame is over.  He has made people in our country dumber each day.  When you wait in line for hours to take a picture with a box of hair or spend $40k on a box of hair, you are officially pathetic.

Idiot of the Month: Cocaine Prosecutor Busted for...Cocaine!

Talk about being a hypocrite!

The Las Vegas Deputy District Attorney, David Schubert, who prosecuted both Bruno Mars and Paris Hilton for cocaine possession was himself arrested and booked for the same exact crime!  According to his alleged dealer, Schubert would come buy coke 3 to 4 times a week and was doing this at the same time he was prosecuting Bruno and Paris.

Seriously dude?!

Way to TOTALLY go against what you stand for.  What were you swiping their stashes from the evidence room and taking it for yourself?  That's what it seems like!  No one can take you seriously as a DA now.  Well, that won't matter since you've been locked out of your office and will be fired soon.

I guess the criminal justice system and politics have A LOT in common when it comes to hypocrites.  HAHA!!

911 Called on Teacher Who Shakes a Desk in Class...Seriously.

Kids these days...

In a classroom in Atherton, Calif, a teacher, just trying to get his students' attention, grabbed a desk and shook it.  Well, one student felt it startled her so much so that she called the police on him.  And now, the teacher has been put on paid administrative leave because the police were called in.  None of the other students were bothered by the table-rattling.

Well little miss priss...word of advice...STAY AWAKE IN CLASS!  It startled her because she was probably sleeping! And now this teacher is basically suspended because she felt the need to call the police. She fell asleep and he woke her up.  Heaven forbid he wakes you up while you sleep...in class!!

What the hell was she thinking?! And why on earth did she call the police?!  If I was an officer responding to this, I would have arrested HER for making a bogus 9-1-1 call.  Kids, and adults, get in trouble all the time for calling the police for non-emergency reasons or matters that don't require police help.  So what makes her any different.  Plus, none of the other kids cared.

What are her parents teaching her?! That girl needs to be slapped.  Seriously.  Who does that?

"Oh my god, like, I was, like, totally sleeping, and he, like, totally shook that desk which totally scared me and woke me up. Like, oh my god, arrest him."

Um, honey, was your life in danger? No.

Did you feel threatened? No.

So you called the police because.....?

Oh! Because you're a spoiled little princess.  That makes so much more sense now!

She just gave herself a new reputation for the rest of junior high AND high school.

Good luck honey, it's all down hill from here for you.

Idiot of the Month: Former MADD Chapter Pres.

Hypocrisy at its finest.

A woman, who was the President of a Florida chapter of MADD, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, for three years, was...take a guess..yep, you guessed it...arrested for drunk driving.  Her breathalyzer tests showed BACs of .234 and .239, almost three times the legal limit.

So, she used to head a chapter of the organization that fights against drunk driving, encourages people not to drive intoxicated, and usually has a massive membership of mothers who have lost people because of drunk drivers.  And she goes out and does exactly what she used to fight against?  Too funny.  Ironic don't you think?  What a prime example she is setting.

Do as I say and not as I do...I'm sure she has said that once or twice.

UCSD Under Fire...Again

A college newspaper in San Diego published an article defaming one of the student leaders at the campus.  It was titled "Carli Thomas is a Whore" and had a picture of her that had been altered.  "The Koala" at UC San Diego is citing the First Amendment, naturally, but Thomas could take this to court and cite defamation...and win.

Apparently, this newspaper has a history of pushing the limits on the First Amendment and have insulted not only students, but faculty and administrators as well.  The University itself can't do much against them since the school keeps itself separate from the publication because of First Amendment limitations.  But that doesn't mean the law can't.

As a journalism graduate, in my professional opinion, this college paper is a joke.  My school paper would never publish things like that.  They actually have respect for the establishment it's permitted to run in.  The actions of "The Koala" are immoral and they lose credibility, not mention it's unprofessional.  As a newspaper, you run articles about the news, not insult people because you think they wronged you.  You're in college, not elementary school.  Grow up.

I hope this girl does push forward with a defamation of character lawsuit.  It'll be pretty easy for her to show actual malice.  She does have a strong case and she will win.  And as punishment, I hope the court shuts the paper down for a minimum of a year.  That way, it tarnishes their journalism backgrounds for future employers, and all the aspiring journalists who wanted to get their start at the paper, can lash out at the people responsible.

The First Amendment protects college newspapers to an extent.  There are limits.  You can't just go around defaming people and think you're protected against retaliation.  It doesn't work that way.  At my school, we were required to take a class in Mass Media Law, maybe UC San Diego should too.  And if it's already required, then maybe they should look into getting a better professor for it because clearly their journalism students think they can get away with saying anything.

To view the article, click here and scroll to the second page, you can't miss it.

Man: "How Much Pot is Illegal?"

HAHAHAHAHA!

A man in Connecticut called 9-1-1 to ask them how much marijuana can a person get in trouble for.  Needless to say, the dispatcher used that handy dandy tracker that automatically traces where the calls come from to send police to his residence.   Police showed up and discovered....you'll never guess...a small amount of pot growing and other drug paraphernalia--shocker!!  He was arrested and booked for possession and illegal cultivation.

That's ONE way to turn yourself in.  All that pot smoking must have made him forget about the tracker on every call to 9-1-1.  It also must have made him forget his common sense, if he had any.  If he really wanted to know the answer he could have just looked it up.  There's this fascinating thing called the internet and, in case you didn't know, you can find the answer to pretty much any question you may have.  It's amazing really.  But no, now he's sitting in jail because he's dumb.  The other inmates should get a good laugh out of this guy's story.

Like they say...curiosity killed the cat...or put the man in jail.

Idiot of the Month: Jesse James

[[Yes, I know this is a little delayed but...]]

Jesse James....

You have got to be the biggest idiot.  Sandra Bullock is an amazing, successful, beautiful, and generous person.  And she picked you, this motorcycle riding, tattooed bad-ass.  How do you screw that up?  But last year, you did...disgracefully too, if I must say.
Then, to add insult to injury, you start dating Kat Von D, the moment the judge finalized your divorce, it seems. And less than a year into your relationship you get engaged.  What is that!?  Are you that desperate to be with someone that you jump on the first girl who doesn't think you are a scumbag?  Of course Kat Von D doesn't think you are a horrible person for cheating on your amazing wife, she's your friend!  But how on earth can she trust you?  You cheated once, who's to say you won't do it again?  Was being with Sandra so horrible that you couldn't just say, "Hey, I'm not happy.  I want a divorce."  Instead, you had to go shame yourself and embarrass her.  The act of a coward.

Not saying Kat is a bad person, but she's no Sandra.  She probably prefers it that way and I know there are some people who would choose Kat over Sandra.  But Sandra has the better resume, outlook, appearance, and, not to mention, she was more Jesse's age.  I know there's people who disagree with me but like it says at the top, it's MY opinion.  Kat has her share of success, defined completely different from Sandra, and she's also pretty in her own way.  To each his own, I guess.

This engagement is rushed and it won't surprise me if we hear about him cheating or them filing for divorce within the next 5 years.  He can't be trusted.  You ruined your own reputation, Jesse.  There's no one to blame but yourself.   Good Luck, Kat.  You're going to need it.

Chuck E. Cheese: Where Kids Can See a Fight?

First watch this video....

Can you believe this?!  This all went down at Chuck E. Cheese!  They have absolutely no respect for the children or the establishment!

Apparently, it involves one guy and two baby mommas.   I guess they were having a birthday party for the first baby.  Then the other baby momma, who just had the guy's baby a few days earlier, shows up with her ghetto posse looking to start drama, which they clearly do.

Why is it that baby mommas, who are involved with lowlife guys, stop thinking of their babies and only care about throwing down with the guy's other baby mommas?  Shouldn't they be mad AT THE GUY???  He's the one who two-timed you but yet you go after the woman.  And since you only care about beating up the other woman, you do so IN FRONT OF YOUR CHILD!  And other people's children while you're at it.

They were at Chuck E. Cheese, the place where kids can be kids.  Parents don't take their kids there to see stupid, immature "adults" fight.  What kind of example are you setting for your kids?  That it's okay to act trashy and ghetto?  Those poor kids that were there that day are probably traumatized and never want to go to every kids favorite place again.  I really hope the manager called the police on them.  I'm sure there's a slew of charges they could arrest them on.

It just disgusts me on how little respect people have.  Grow up already.

Super Bowl XLV: Cheese Heads vs. Accused Rapist

This is something that really bothers me.  The Steelers are going to the Super Bowl.  I'm not bothered by them going because they definitely outplayed the Jets.  But the announcers mentioned how the Steelers "deserved" to go and I strongly disagree.  Why do you ask?  Because Ben Roethlisberger will be playing and THAT bothers me.

This man guy is another example of an athlete abusing his so-called "power."  He got his THIRD rape accusation dropped because of who he is.  They said it was because of a lack of evidence the DA failed to collect.  Why didn't they collect more evidence you say? Because its Ben Roethlisberger.  He has been accused of rape three times and managed to have all of the charges dropped.  His punishment for the recent one was only a six game suspension.  That's it.  And that was only imposed by the NFL not the law because they had to do something to avoid harsh criticism.

The accuser's lawyer asked to have the rape probe dropped because it was clear to them that because of who Ben is and all the media surrounding the case, they already knew the outcome.  It wasn't going to be a fair and unbiased trial and ultimately, she probably would have lost.

And now, instead of being in jail with other rapists, he gets to compete in the biggest game of all sports for the biggest title: NFL Champion.

How is that fair?  Rape is a very traumatic experience and this girl, along with the other two and probably many others, are going to have to deal with this traumatic ordeal for the rest of their lives.  Ben, on the other hand, gets to play in the Super Bowl and continue to be paid millions of dollars.

It's just like if Michael Vick would have made it to the Super Bowl.  People were very against him even playing in the NFL again.  If he went to the big game, people would have been in an uproar about it and groups probably would have protested.  He ran an illegal dog-fighting ring where dogs died and others were severely injured for life.  The difference is he was convicted of it.  He even went to prison for two years and he still had probation.  Some of the terms of his probation restricted him in the NFL too.  For example, he couldn't travel to away games for part of the season.  But this man was allowed to go back to being a "role model" and making millions of dollars because he was actually punished.  He didn't just get a slap on the wrist like Ben did.   Now I know there are people out there who think his punishment wasn't enough but at least he was punished for his crime.

Ben, on the other hand, gets to walk around with his only care in the world being the Super Bowl.  But his victims are forever scarred and they probably also lost faith in the justice system.  One thing is certain though, he won't always get away with it.  One day, his behavior will come back and it will hit him hard.  What goes around, comes around.

Teens: Keep Your Legs Closed!

This is what happens when you push abstinence rather than let your kids get birth control.

A school in Memphis, Tennessee, in the smaller community of Frayser, has...get this...90 girls either pregnant or who recently gave birth!
90!
Nine-Zero!
100 minus 10!

The national average of teen pregnancies is 10% but in this town, its 26%.  More than double the national average.  A 2004 graduate of this school says it isn't a new problem either.  She says they would come back from break and a bunch of girls would be pregnant.

What are these girls thinking?!  MTV made shows like 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom so people can see how hard it is to be a teen mom and the struggles that teens experience with their parents, friends, money, and of course the baby's father.  Do they really think it's going to be a walk in the park?  And they see their friends having babies and seeing what they are going through, but yet they still don't try to prevent it from happening to them.
For those who are scared to ask their parents for birth control or too embarrassed to buy it themselves, Planned Parenthood provides all these things for free (or an optional donation) and anonymously.  It really isn't as hard as teenagers tend to think it is to get birth control.  They are going to let their whole lives change and have to grow up faster than a teen should just because their parents are naive or they are embarrassed.  And yes, they might not be educated enough about sex and its consequences but that is about to change at this particular school because they are rolling out a new initiative to help prevent this epidemic from getting worse.  But this initiative is too late for the ones already pregnant or already moms.  And these kids might have their minds already set so it may be hard to change their thinking.  Hopefully not though.

Kids don't need to be having kids.

Westboro Baptist...HAVE SOME RESPECT!

There's a crazy group of...well...I don't know what you can accurately call them but they have absolutely no respect for anyone but themselves.

I was glad to hear that Arizona passed an emergency bill to ban protestors from coming within 300 feet of a funeral from an hour before to an hour after the funeral.  Unfortunately, it probably won't stop these crazy lemmings from Westboro Bapist Church.

For those unaware of this group out of Topeka, Kansas, they are the people who protest at the funerals for soldiers, gays, people who died from AIDS, and others.  They even protested at Coretta Scott King's funeral.

They announced that they were going to protest at the funeral of Christina Green, the NINE YEAR OLD girl (as well as the other five people) who died in the shootings.  She did absolutely nothing to deserve this and they wanted to show up saying "God sent the shooter...Be ye thankful!"

Really?!? At this poor, innocent, little girl's funeral.  How much lower can you get?  These people must have had their hearts ripped out by the devil and mistook him for God.  How do they sleep at night?  This disgusting group of emotional terrorists.  It's hard to even fathom what goes through their twisted minds.  They need to go back to Kansas and stay there.  Lock themselves up inside their hatred chamber and hate amongst each other.  This is one group that needs to keep their inaccurate, immoral, and unjustified opinions to themselves.

The Warning Signs are the Precursor of Disaster

Creeeeeeeeepy!

Jared Lee Loughner

The man, no boy, responsible for the shooting in Arizona that killed six people, including a 9-year-old girl, has a history of mental issues (as do most, if not all, of the crazy people going on shooting rampages).
A former Professor said that Jared Loughner made him scared that Loughner would bring a gun to school because of his behavior in class.  Red flag don't you think!? The guy had YouTube videos with creepy, yet indicating, messages in them.  Another red flag.
How is it that the people who go on shooting rampages, such as Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold of Columbine or Seung-Hui Cho of Virginia Tech, had crystal clear warning signs that nobody caught on to. Innocent people are dying because other people fail to pay attention or are too scared to say anything about suspicious behavior displayed blatantly in front of us!  PAY ATTENTION PEOPLE! If someone seems to act or talk creepy, chances are they are creepy.  If they talk about killing people or doing a shooting rampage, chances are they are planning on it.  If you just ignore it then tragedies like the Arizona shooting happen.  A 9-year-old girl is dead because of this psycho's mental issues. She will never go to junior high, high school, or college.  She will never marry and have a family.  Because no one spoke up about Loughner's behaviors, this little girl is gone along with five other people.
Yes, I know the news reports states how his college suspended him because of his behavior but that's all they did.  His former Professor even said Loughner needed psychological help and that the school didn't respond to complaints about him early enough.  If they thought he needed help then they should have reported him to a facility, but they didn't.  14 people suffered and six people died because of it.

Marry Me or I'll Call the Cops!

Here's a way to drive your boyfriend away.

A woman in Chicago called police claiming her boyfriend was attacking her when, in reality, he just refused to propose to her.  She said she was trying to scare her boyfriend into marrying her.  The best part is the boyfriend said he had no intention of ever marrying her and was actually going to break up with her!

There is one of two possibilities when a man isn't proposing to his girlfriend: he either doesn't want to or he is planning it and trying to keep it a surprise.  Calling 9-1-1 to get him to pop the question definitely won't make him propose...ever.  Why can't women just be patient?  When the time is right, if he wants to marry you, he'll propose.  And if he doesn't want to, he'll dump you.  Sorry, but the truth hurts.  The more you push him to get down on one knee, the more you'll push him away so a word of advice:  Shut up, relax, and be patient.  When the time is right, it'll happen.

Food Fight=Arrested!

This just makes me laugh.

In Oklahoma, two employees of a Taco Bell started a food fight while on duty...and alcohol was involved.  The two men, one of which a manager, were arrested for public intoxication and its probably easy to say that they'll be fired too.  They left during their shift and got drunk, then came back and started a food fight.  The restaurant even had to close briefly to be cleaned up.

I don't know about the rest of you, but all the jobs I've had clearly have rules about not being under the influence of drugs or alcohol at work and the rules are listed in the employee handbooks.   Yes, I know there are people out there who aren't serious about their jobs.  And I know food fights can be fun.  And I know we all have moments where our bosses or co workers drive us crazy and we would love nothing more than to throw something at them.  But I guess if you don't care about you're job, or even future, then it doesn't matter what you do.  Go ahead and burn those bridges.

Well, it doesn't look like they will be able to use Taco Bell as a reference.  Good luck with that guys.

Do Not Try This At Home....No Really, Don't.

It really is amazing how people think (or don't think) sometimes.

A South Carolina man is in the hospital after being hit by a car.  People getting hit by cars isn't unusual.  Getting hit by a car because you made yourself the main character in your own version of the game "Frogger"is.

This man decided to "play" his own real-life version of the game.  Most people are familiar with the game, "Frogger," but for those of you who aren't, the game is about a frog who crosses roads and rivers while trying to keep from being hit by cars and other hazards.

According to witnesses and authorities, he had talked about the game with friends shortly before yelling "GO!" and darting onto a four-lane highway.

Needless to say, no one can really be surprised he was hit by a SUV.

And the conversation between Officers and the Parents had to be an awkward, yet amusing, one:
"Your son is in the hospital.  He was hit by a car."
"Oh my God! How did this happen?"
"He was pretending to be a frog."
"Um....What?"

Haha.

What I want to know is what would possess him to do something that dumb.  Its obvious he wasn't in his right mind, if he has one, because no normal person would pretend to be a frog that ultimately gets squished when he darts into traffic.  This guy should probably NOT be allowed to play video games or computer games ever again.

In the battle of Man vs. Car...100% of the time, the car wins.

So to all the gamers out there, word of advice...Do not try this at home.  The creators of games don't include these warnings for no reason.  They make these games for YOUR amusement, not your demise.  If they are smart enough to create a popular game, then they probably know what they are talking about.  Just saying.
