Skip out on tipping service workers
OH HELL NO!
This lady, apparently the most read finance writer according to MSN, says that during the holidays, if you are tight on cash its okay to not tip people in the service industry!!
These people make your life easier so when is it EVER okay to not tip them?!?!? I work in the service industry and my first response to this was if your tight on cash, then DON'T USE THOSE SERVICES!!! Do your own damn work instead of paying someone else to. She even had a list of "guidelines" for certain jobs. A lot of the jobs on there, your average person or even struggling person wouldn't be using in the first place.
If you're struggling, you're gonna walk your own damn dog, you're not gonna have a housekeeper (CLEAN IT YOURSELF LAZY ASS!), you're gonna open you're own doors, you aren't going to get massages or have a personal trainer. It's common sense. If you are gonna use the services of someone in the service industry that typically gets/lives off of tips, you better damn well tip them or not use it at all. Some of the jobs on that list, don't usually receive tips anyway like teachers, superintendents, package deliverers, personal trainers, live in help, babysitters. You pay them for their services. It's not considered a tip. But don't get me wrong, you could if you wanted.
As for us servers, when you don't tip us, you just cost us money. We have to tip out the bartenders and bussers REGARDLESS if you tipped us or not. So when you don't, we have to take out our own money at that point. Yes, I believe you should tip based off the service but unless it was so horrible that you don't know why you came there in the first place, then you better leave at least 10%.

Asking folks to not eat out at all if they don't tip is counterproductive as the restaurants won't stay in business. Glad to know that some servers appear to feel that they deserve a tip just for my showing up - and not as a result of their service. This will encourage me to continue to eat at home even when the financial situation improves. I'm sorry about the low wages, but I'm your customer, not your employer.
If you come in and sit down in my section, and eat my employers food and drink their drinks, then you better leave a damn tip. If the service is bad, fine leave a bad tip or none whatever. 9 times out of 10 the service is good. Oh and here's a little tip for you: If you're an asshole from the start, then you're service will be bad. Another suggestion is that we handle you're food, if you want to be an ass, go ahead...just remember who brings you your food. And yes you may be my customer, but I live off tips. I tried working in retail or another job and I couldn't pay my rent or bills or anything. Working as a server, I BARELY make it and I actually still need my parents help. So the tip you give me, may pay my bills so in a way YEAH you are paying me as well. And if all the cheapskates stayed home, restaurants would still stay in business because there are enough people who tip what they are supposed to out there to keep the businesses alive. Ass.
Bottom line is: LEAVE A PROPER TIP!! (if you can't, don't use the service)

Stepfather Puts 42 Sewing Needles in 2-Year-Old

In Brazil, the stepfather of a 2-year-old little boy stuck 2in long sewing needles into the little boy's body over a period of a month. The boy's mother had no idea until she took him to the hospital for pain and an xray revealed 42 NEEDLES! The stepfather confessed and said he did that because his lover made him do it. Apparently, she had the needles blessed and had him put the needles in the boy's body as part of a ritual that would ensure they would be together. Surgeons have to be cautious removing some because 2 needles are near his heart with one piercing it as well as his lung and leg. Police think the "ritual" may be a cover for the lover because she wants revenge on the boy's mom.
That's what I would say. The little boy may only be the stepson of her married man but he is also the son of her married man's wife. And its the boy's mom that keeps her lover away from her so it only makes sense that she's out for revenge. But at the boy's expense?! This little boy could die! All because she wants the boy's stepfather! Ok I know there is that saying "love makes you do crazy things" and obviously that's the case in this one. And the fact that the stepfather complied obviously shows that he doesn't want to be with his wife anymore either. So for the kid's sake, divorce the mom because he doesn't deserve to have over 40 needles pushed into his tiny body. He didn't do anything. I just don't get how someone could torture a defenseless 2-year-old. I mean really he's just a baby! Regardless if he's your baby or not, he's still a baby.

A Drunk 4-Year-Old

Okay basically in Tennessee, a 4-year-old boy was strolling through his neighborhood alone, DRINKING BEER, and wearing a dress that he had taken from a christmas present from a neighbor's house. And according to the mom, the little boy wants to "go to prison because that's where his daddy is."
WOW!!
My question is how did the little boy get access to beer let alone open it and start drinking it? AND why was he roaming around alone? AND how did he get into the neighbor's house and steal a present? Haha. I find this funny. Irresponsible. But kind of funny.
Where was the mother when this was all happening? Can you say "child endangerment?" I'm at a lost for words on this one. A 4-year-old boy was walking around drinking a beer! What would go through your mind if you saw this? Haha. Seriously, that mom needs to reevaluate her parenting.

Couple Puts Self-Aborted 7 MONTH OLD FETUS in a Present Under the Xmas Tree!!

So this lady in Texas took the abortion pill when she was 7 MONTHS PREGNANT. The pill is supposed to be taken (if you choose to go that route) when the baby is 7 weeks not MONTHS. So she starts bleeding and calls 9-1-1. Paramedics show up and the baby is gone and Oh! Of course she has no idea where the baby is. Turns out the couple tried to FLUSH the baby DOWN THE TOILET!!! And when that didnt work, they cleaned the baby up, put it in a box, wrapped it, and stuck it under the tree....

First of all, if they didn't want the baby in the first place, they should have aborted it a loooooong time ago. Second of all, if they originally wanted it and then changed their mind, there is a law allowing them to leave the baby at a hospital, fire station, or police station with no repercussions. But seriously, how sick do you have to be to abort on your own at 7 months pregnant and then try to flush the baby down the toilet? This baby can actually live outside the womb at 7 months, most of the time. That baby could have grown to be an amazing impact on our world. Even if they wouldn't have been, that baby didn't deserve that kind of ending. Don't get me wrong I'm pro choice but if you choose to abort don't decide when you're too far along. If you get to that point, then there are other options. These women who have babies and then try to get rid of them by killing them and burying them or putting them in trash cans makes me sick. I just don't understand how someone could do that.
And they are in Texas, Unofficial Capital Punishment of the US!! I hope they get what they asked for by doing this. I mean come on, they wrapped the dead baby in a box and stuck it under the tree!

Hello and welcome to my blog! I'm a news buff and recently I've been reading whats been going on in our world outside of wars and the like and some of the things I've been reading have made me so angry with the people walking our planet (and some have just made me laugh) that I needed a place to vent my opinions of these crazy and weird people.
